Subject: Blue screen in Win XP (stop 0x50)
Text: I am unable to boot my Dell Inspiron laptop. I keep getting a "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" error.

The error message gives the following technical information:
STOP: 0x00000050 (0xF8992000, 0x00000001, 0x80572B26, 0x00000000)

I have tried booting in safe mode. The system stops as it is loading agp440.sys. I have tried removing AGP440.sys from the boot sequience. THat did not wor.

I have tried repairing using the setup CD. This also stops after copying files needed for installation.

I wish to aviod reformatting the hard disk. I would appreciate any suggestions to recover from this sitioation.
