An added complication in determining the steady state is that branch instructions issue on port1 and that the issue heuristic is "psuedo FIFO" favoring back-to-back u-ops. Replicate the eight arithmetic instructions until the block is somewhat less than 8K total. You will quickly learn how crucial the branch instruction is in determining the steady state. |
